Michael Zimmermann, a German-American, was sentenced to six months in prison for speaking out against President Wilson and America while drunk. Mr. Zimmermann offered to serve in the army or navy instead of serving jail time, but it is unclear whether or not the state chose to go this route. Some of these remarks include calling the president "no good" and that he was being "controlled by a bunch of old women who march around the white house."
