"Ohio in the War Buckeye News Growing Out of World Strife." Plain Dealer 17 Jul. 1918: 13. NewsBank. Web. 16 May 2016.
In Ohio, especially near Cleveland, many events surrounding WWI were occurring. Kenton's county didn't have enough soldiers, so they had some men attend Toledo University for mechanical training. This happened in multiple places over Ohio who needed more people for the draft. However, some soldiers have been reported as injured which could have scared people away from the war. In other news, a Canton plant is receiving an award for field artillery that they built that was sent to France.
