German Americans in Cleveland plan to attend an American Independence Day parade in order to get rid of doubts regarding their loyalty to America. By doing this they are showing their willingness to integrate into the American society, and begin to display that their allegiance to the country is more than just the fact that America is convenient to them. Even leaders of German-American groups planned to march in the parade with large displays and banners to show their patriotism.
