The bombing campaign in Austria, as begun by the Cleveland soldier featured in this article, focused on targets along the Adriatic sea. Carried out by the Allies against the Central Powers, was designed to attack cities and decimate the enemy's morale. Technological developments like the bomb sight, anti aircraft artillery, and air raid bomb shelters allowed the bombing campaigns to be successful. The Italian navy flew forty two missions over Venice in total. This prideful article must've helped further the war effort, creating nationalistic confidence in the hearts and minds of Clevelanders
